Stacey is a managing director in Abbot Downing’s Minneapolis office where she leads a team of wealth management specialists in investment and fiduciary services, financial planning, family culture, and banking. Stacey’s goal is to blend the team’s financial expertise with a family or organization’s history and beliefs to create a sustainable, meaningful plan for today and the future.
Over Stacey’s 25 year career at Wells Fargo, she has experience in learning and development, human resources, portfolio management, trust administration, international non-profit consulting, and leadership. Prior to joining Abbot Downing, Stacey served as the regional managing director for the greater Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and western Wisconsin markets of Wells Fargo Private Bank. She led a team providing investment management, private banking, trust, estate, credit, and integrated wealth management services through Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., as well as brokerage services through Wells Fargo Advisors.
Stacey is a SAFE-registered mortgage loan originator (NMLSR ID 2022560).
Stacey has undergraduate degrees in accounting, anthropology, and English and a master’s degree in management. In addition, Stacey holds Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designations. She recently earned her National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD™) Directorship Certification. She is a Marshall Memorial Fellow through the German Marshall Foundation and a Wells Fargo Global Fellow through Bankers without Borders/Grameen Foundation. At the North Dakota State University Foundation, she is a trustee, treasurer of the executive governing board, and is on the investment committee. She is also on the Great Plains Food Bank Board of Directors and has served in leadership roles with the Red River Valley Estate Planning Council and her Rotary Club.
Stacey and her husband, Todd, have three children, Hunter, Alena, and Jackson. She enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her family and dogs, Bandit, Zoe, and Sage, as well as traveling to other parts of the world. She has been on mission trips to Guatemala and Bolivia.
