Douglas M. Eiden

Doug is a director of Asset Management in the Minneapolis office of Abbot Downing. He is co-portfolio manager for Abbot Downing’s Global 25 equity strategy. Doug is also responsible for providing clients with investment management solutions, including the direct management of customized equity and fixed income portfolios. He has more than 22 years of experience in the investment management industry.

Prior to joining Abbot Downing, Doug was an investment principal at Lowry Hill and co-led the firm’s large cap growth equity strategy. Before that, Doug was a senior financial analyst at Norwest Corporation. His work dealt with forecasting, risk analysis, annual planning, and capital budgeting for multiple Norwest business lines. Doug also has experience as a senior master trust accountant, focused on performance calculation and reporting.

Doug received his master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of St. Thomas. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with concentrations in economics, finance, and real estate from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Doug is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Minnesota. In addition, he is on the advisory board and is a mentor for the Aristotle Fund at the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Business.

Doug and his wife, Katy, live in Minneapolis, with their three children.
